The Ridge Hotel

Jerusalem

The ridge hotel was designed on top of the Jerusalem promenade overlooking the old city with the outmost sacred place for Christianity, Jewish and Islamic religions.  Situated in front of such view made the scenery the most captivating essence of the design.  The decision was to treat the room as a place of view, there for all aspects are facing and addressing the landscape, bathroom is divided in closed private area of wc and shower, while the basin is in open space to emphasize on clearing up overlooking the view, the mirror was turned in 90 degrees and the bed is facing the terrace, with mirrored bronze partitions to the shower that is reflecting the view once more.

Materials are keeping a classic design elegance of stone, copper, wood and a touch of colour in the rug which represents the ripping process of olive groves.
